How to Reset Windows 7 Password using a Bootable CD/DVD

Assuming that you have forgotten your Windows 7 password and want to reset it using a bootable CD/DVD, there are a few things that you need to take care of. Firstly, you need to create a bootable CD/DVD or USB drive with Kon-Boot. Once you have created the bootable media, you need to boot your computer from it. After Kon-Boot has loaded, you will be able to see all the user accounts on your computer. You can then select the account that you want to reset the password for and enter a new password.

If you don't want to use Kon-Boot, you can also use a Windows 7 password reset disk. To create a password reset disk, you need to have a USB drive or blank CD/DVD handy. You also need to know the answer to your secret question. Once you have these things, you can follow the steps below to create a password reset disk.

1. Insert the USB drive or CD/DVD into your computer.

2. Open the Control Panel and click on User Accounts.

3. Under the User Accounts section, click on the link that says "Create a password reset disk".

4. A wizard will now open up and guide you through the process of creating a password reset disk.

5. Once the password reset disk has been created, you can use it to reset your password by following the steps below.

1. Insert the password reset disk into your computer.

2. Reboot your computer and wait for the login screen to appear.

3. Click on the link that says "I forgot my password".

4. Enter the password reset disk when prompted and follow the instructions to reset your password.

If you don't have a password reset disk or Kon-Boot, you can still reset your password by using the Safe Mode. To do this, you need to reboot your computer and press F8 before the Windows logo appears. This will take you to the Advanced Boot Options menu. From here, you need to select the option that says "Safe Mode". Once Windows has loaded in Safe Mode, you can then log into your account using the administrator account. Once you are logged in, you can then change your password from the Control Panel.

If you are still unable to reset your password, you can always contact Microsoft support for help.
